Financial Assistance Program
Sometimes patients don't have the money to pay for some or all of their health care bills. Our program provides help to those that don't have health insurance as well as those who do have insurance but can't pay the part of their bill that insurance doesn't cover. In some cases, patients will not have to pay for services at all; in others, they may be asked to pay part of the payment.
Who can use the program?
Patients who do not have insurance and cannot get insurance through programs like Medicare or Medicaid can get financial help if their family income is up to 300 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Our financial counselors, located on the first floor of KRMC, will work with you to see if this program is right for you. Please remember that you can always receive care at our hospital even if you can't pay for it.
How to Apply
We know that hospital stays can be stressful both for the patient and his or her family, so we try to make applying for the Patient Financial Assistance Program as easy as possible. If you think you may be eligible for financial assistance, contact a financial counselor. Click here for a directory.
