Tyke Town Preschool Nutrition Program
Tyke Town is the The Summit short term child care center for ages 6 weeks to 5 years that allows parents to exercise within the facility while their children are cared for in a healthy environment. Join us every other Wednesday at 10:00 am for the Tyke Town Preschool Nutrition program which teaches children about eating right and being physically active so they can establish healthy habits for life. Linda Fredenberg, registered dietitian from The Summit nutrition services department helps children learn about nutrition and My Pyramid for Kids. In our program children participate in a story time which often incorporates counting, rhyming and movement activities and then create a healthy snack. Parents also receive a handout which highlights nutrition information, recipes, fun craft ideas and activities to help extend this learning at home.
